As the chairwoman of the Association of Securities Companies (ACE) Pattera Dilokrungthirapop said to the news portal, the association is in talks with regulators to allow established financial companies to offer cryptocurrency exchange services.

As she added, there are more than few security companies that want to fill an application to SEC to launch the crypto exchange.

“We are confident that investors will prefer trading with us since we have been in the securities trading business for a long time,” she said. “Investors can trust our trading system, which has secured asset preservation.”

As we wrote earlier, Thailand is currently working on new regulations, and for now, has released a new set of rules. From May 2018 sellers of cryptos must register with the SEC within 90 days, failure to do so may end up with a penalty of up to twice the value of the unauthorized transaction.
