The Japanese ICT company Fujitsu is launching an IOTA-based proof-of-concept (PoC), according to an official notice.

The notice states that the company will use the IOTA protocol for audit trails to improve transparency in “industrial production environments and supply chains”.

As we can find in the announcement, the main benefits from new project will be:

  • Transparency
  • Trust in Data
  • Data Security

“Fujitsu is well-equipped to help roll out IOTA as the new protocol standard as we are experts in both IT services and the manufacturing of IT products”.

IOTA Tangle

IOTA Tangle, which would be hosted by Tangle, proposes a system for identifying product components and their production status.

The Tangle is different from blockchain (DLT) technology because it is built on a directed acyclic graph (DAG), a system where different types of transactions “run simultaneously on different chains in the network.”
