Remember the idea behind KODAKCoin? Fernando Alonso, 2005 and 2006 Formula One champion will use KODAKCoin to secure his image rights.

KODAKOne platform is a blockchain project which will store and secure copyrights, as we wrote earlier. When it comes to copyrights while you publish something to the Internet, it is hard to secure your rights and Kodak wants to help with that.

“Engaging with a new platform, it is critical photographers know their work and their income is handled securely and with trust, which is exactly what we did with KODAKCoin.” CEO Jeff Clarke said.

According to the press release, from now on, the KODAKOne will protect Alonso’s personal and professional images and videos. The platform will be responsible for current and future image and video rights management. The platform will reward users with KODAKCoin for uploading and registering photos of the F1 champion.

“Fernando is a world-renowned athlete, and his trust in our platform further validates what we stand for. We couldn’t have asked for a better partner to work with as we roll out our KODAKOne Platform.”
