USA: Walmart implementing blockchain
Walmart which is U.S. retail giant has applied to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) to patent a blockchain system. The system would be created for deliveries.
The new patent aims to provide a technology for running “in-field authenticating of autonomous electronic devices” to enable secure deliveries. The patent specifies that “[i]n exemplary embodiments, two autonomous electronic devices, such as delivery drones or household autonomous robots, can authenticate each other using embodiments of security procedures described herein.”
The patent is named “Systems, Devices, and Methods for In-Field Authenticating of Autonomous Robots”. The system itself should operate multiple robots or drones that conduct package deliveries. These machines should be based on wireless signals that enable “blockchain-powered secure authentication of electronic devices’ identities”.
How to use blockchain in that kind of system? Primarily, to secure all data and signals. According to the patent application:
“Updates to the blockchain may comprise authentication signals or identification information, and one or more nodes on the system may be configured to incorporate one or more updates into blocks to add to the distributed database.”
Eminem sets fire mentioning Bitcoin
Eminem, one of the most famous rappers in the world, has released a new album Fri “Kamikaze”, in which he mentioned the Bitcoin.
The unexpected release of the new album Eminem “Kamikaze”, let the fans find, apart from the unusual verses of the rapper, a small reference to Bitcoin. Cryptocurrencies made the next step towards increasing the awareness of the mainstream, becoming a more and more frequent topic in the artists’ output. Eminem, mentioning in the new album about cryptocurrencies, shows that Bitcoin has penetrated into different levels of society.
