Turkey: Blockchain center

Blockchain industry is developing fast. The main sources of knowledge in that field are mostly the Internet where anyone can find the experts’ opinion. But, because of the youth of this solution, there are not many “official” ways to get the knowledge and become a license expert.

Turkey sees that problem and already creates a solution. There has been established the first university-level blockchain center to help young people get knowledge and develop the technology.

It is called The Istanbul Blockchain and Innovation Center (BlockchainIST Center) at Bahçeşehir University (BAU).

The Center’s director is Bora Erdamar. He admitted that BlockchainIST Center is going to be “the most important center of research and development and innovation in Turkey in which scientific studies and publications are made in blockchain technologies.”
During the interview, Erdamar also said that he believes that Turkey may become a leading country in technology. Due to Erdamar, blockchain can “transform humanity”.
