Cryptofashion? Check the runway

The world of cryptocurrencies is expanding its boundaries. Now, cryptocurrencies showed up in the fashion industry.

Love for cryptos

Celebrities, after a big boom on Bitcoin, have started to talk loudly about investing in cryptos. As, for example, 50 Cent has reminded himself about over 700 BTC. That gives him, for now, almost 6 million $. This is kind of situation in which forgetting about something ends actually good. Well done 50 Cent, well done.

Going with the flow, Katy Perry showed her manicure.

She has decided to have 3D nails with 5 different logos of cryptocurrencies on them with the dollar on the background. The cryptos chose: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Stellar and Monero. She has posted the photo of her nails on her Instagram’s account with the caption: “$—CrYpTo ClAwS—$”. The photo gained over 200 000 likes.

Fashion Week

Raf Simons – the Belgian designer, has released his collection inspired by cryptocurrencies. He showed his project on Men’s New York Fashion Week. In Simons collection, you can find slim cut three-button suits, topcoats paired with surgical gloves and rubber boots.

As Financial Times commented:

“Fit easily on today’s youngest investors, who don’t stick to the Kiton and Zegna suits of their fathers and prefer Coinbase to TD Ameritrade.”

Tom Ford as Raf Simons, has presented his fashion for investors from Wall Street. His “Wall Street-approved pleated trousers” was commented by FT as:

“Day traders flipping cryptocurrencies at home need something to wear.”
