Blockchain Gives Away 0.5 Billion XLM
Blockchain, a crypto wallet provider, is about to do “the largest crypto giveaway in history.” The company is going to distribute $125 million in Stellar lumen (XLM) to its wallet holders. Everyone who has signed for the giveaway should expect a reward.
Blockchain gives Stellar
Blockchain will distribute nearly half a billion tokens among its holders. The first round of the giveaway will arrive within a week. The company hasn’t disclosed the number of XLM each wallet holder will receive.
Stellar teamed up with Blockchain in their airdrop program introduced last month.
Peter Smith, the CEO of Blockchain, said that the Stellar network is built for scalability and has a growing ecosystem. He also mentioned:
“Looking back at the last five years of crypto, one of my favorite things has been giving users their first $20 of crypto and watching them realize the power of a new financial system in their hand as they saw their first transaction. The genesis of this project was; how do we help millions of people make their first transaction?”
Heal the world?
It seems like Blockchain wants to make the world a better place. Maybe it’s a fairytale, maybe not. We will find it out in next weeks. Nevertheless, we know that Blockchain works with charity programs including Stanford d.school and code.org.
Jed McCaleb, Stellar Development Foundation co-founder, believes that airdrops are crucial in building a more inclusive digital economy.
