A new version of GDAX, Verge Hacked
Coinbase after the fusion with Paralex announced that there would be a new version of GDAX – Coinbase Pro – which will have a much better user experience. Another DDOS attack on Verge, this time more than $1 mln was stolen.
As they said, they want to create a new better version which will allow users to begin genuinely participating in the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
“As the decentralized ecosystem advances, we expect there will be many more opportunities for customers to interact with digital assets in new and unique ways.”
In the last months, a well known for its partnership with Brazzers privacy-focused cryptocurrency Verge (XVG) has been hacked. It is 2nd hack during the last months; the previous time hackers stole 250.000 XVG, this time it is 35 mln (~$1.7 mln), as the Next Web reported.
Also, Verge tweeted that their mining pools were under the most popular cyber-attack DDOS on May 21.
it appears some mining pools are under ddos attack, and we are experiencing a delay in our blocks, we are working to resolve this.

after the crisis. Last time Verge developers resolved hack initiating a hard fork, it was an accident according to OCminer (Supernova Mining pool) comments on BitcoinTalk.
“Hmm, you guys are aware that the “fix” you pushed actually IS a hardfork ? So your blockchain snapshot is not valid anymore, the wallet’s won’t sync up from scratch anymore, and the current chain is simply not usable anymore with that new “fix” ?” -OCminer
